Pauline Collins

St. Johnsbury, VT: Pauline Lorraine Collins, age 89, formerly of Spring Street, passed away peacefully at St. Health & Rehabilitation Center, Saturday, August 11, 2018.

Pauline was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on September 17, 1928, daughter to the late Joseph and Olivia (LaCroix) Duguay.  She was raised and educated here remembered as a member of  the Academy Class of 1943.    She married Chauncy P Collins in 1946 and shared 60 years with him at the time of his passing on December 23, 2006.  Pauline was a homemaker and later an administrative assistant for St. Johnsbury Chamber of Commerce.   She enjoyed the company of other people, music, and entertaining, as well as travel.

Pauline is survived by 5 children: Phillip and wife, Jeanny, of Vershire, VT,  Peter and wife, Gwen, of Merrimack, NH, Patrick of Newport, VT, Pauline Morgan of Waterford, VT, Bernadette Bessette and husband, Dennis, of W. Burke, VT; 11 grandchildren: Carol Collins, Joel Collins, Aaron Collins, Amber Collins Adams, Shawna Bessette, Dylan Bessette, Ian Morgan, Lauren Morgan Feldkamp, Kali Adair, and Allison Collins; 7 great-grandchildren: Sebastian Collins, Liam Collins McComb, Eli and Cannon Bessette, Ava and Kimari Collins, and Benson Adams; 1 great-great grandchild: Hunter Collins; a sister: Patricia “Patsy” Rutherford of Epsom, NH, and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband: Chauncy P. Collins; 3 siblings: Maurice Duguay, Celine Deming and Margaret Brinkerhoff; her son: Carroll Collins; and a granddaughter: Kristen Collins

There will be a gathering to be announced at a later date.    Burial will be private.
