Diane (DeMaio) duMaire

November 7, 1947 ~ May 4, 2019 (age 71)

Waterford, VT: Diane duMaire, loving wife, mother, grandmother, passed into the hands of our Eternal Father on May 4, 2019 after suffering a severe stroke on April 15 from which she never regained consciousness.

Diane was born in Sharon, PA to Paul & Mary (Mastroianni) DeMaio who predeceased her, and graduated from Sharon Senior High School – Class of 1965.

She married Robert F. duMaire and together they raised two sons, Todd and Robert J duMaire who reside in El Paso, TX.  She is survived also by two grandchildren, Karah and Vincent.

Together, the family lived in several locations including St. Louis and El Paso and settled in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont in 1988.

Diane was employed by Parkway Realty and later Begin Realty Associates and retired to a life of reading, cooking, gardening, and meticulously tending to her home in Waterford.  Diane was an avid reader and Red Sox and Bruins fan.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for her care at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and the Jack Byrne Palliative Care Center and wishes that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either of these wonderful institutions.

Friends may call on the family from 6-8PM, Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Sayles Funeral Home, 525 Summer Street in St. Johnsbury, VT.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sharon, PA at a later date with burial to follow at St. Rose Cemetery.
