Concord, VT: Leonard Alden “Lenny” Noyes, age 55, of Long Hill Road, died Friday evening September 8, 2017, from injuries sustained in an accident on Shadow Lake Road in Concord.
Lenny was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on November 17, 1961, son to Bonnie Arlene (Bristol) and the late Ronald Carroll Noyes. He was raised and educated in the area including St. Johnsbury, Passumpsic, & Lyndonville, and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy in the Class of 1979. Lenny went on to work in concrete construction and then for Utility Partners at St. Johnsbury Waste Water for over 23 years. On December 1, 1990 he married the love of his life, Robin Lee Pratt and in 1997 they made their home in Concord with their son, Ryan. Lenny loved hunting and fishing and four-wheeling but most of all, his grandchildren. He loved life, was a great provider for his family, enjoyed taking scenic rides and really loved being a jokester. Leonard had a heart of gold and was truly one of the most kindhearted men anyone knew.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 27 years, Robin, his son and fiancé: Ryan & Katie Nelson and their children, Colton & Brentley Noyes, all of Concord, his mother and step-father: Bonnie & Clifton Little, of Lyndonville, his step-mother: Elaine Noyes also of Lyndonville, two sisters: Tina Chamberlain and husband, Randy, of St. Johnsbury, Chrissy Noyes of Lyndonville, three step-brothers: Herbert Little and his fiancé, Deborah Taylor of Lyndonville, Walter Stone of Littleton, NH, Steve Stone of NH, four step-sisters: Anita Little of Concord, Pamela Hovatter and husband, Chris, of Raymond, NH, Sheryl Duval and husband, Randy, of Manchester, NH, Deb Ann Stone of NH, his in-laws: W. Bruce Pratt and wife, Barbara, of Walden, VT, his sister-in-law: Rondi Shatney of Concord, two brothers-in-law: Bruce Pratt of CO, Kevin Pratt and fiancé, Joan Adams, of Waterford, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10AM on Saturday, September 16th at the Lyndon Center Cemetery in Lyndon, VT officiated by John Sleeper. A potluck reception will be held at the Lyndonville VFW on High Street following the committal. There will be no public calling hours.
